TEXTBOOKS OF AYURVEDA

Image
TEXTBOOKS OF AYURVEDA Ayurveda, like other eastern knowledge, has its origins in the Vedas (ocean of knowledge). Even while all four vedas contain Ayurvedic material, the Atharvaveda contains far more Ayurvedic information than the other vedas. As a result, Acharya Charaka has stated unequivocally that we Ayurveda physicians should hold Atharvaveda in high regard. Apart from the Atharvaveda, Ayurveda draws its inspiration from three primary classical books, one of which is known as Brihat-Trayi and the other three as Laghu-Trayi. Among Brihat-Trayi Charaka Samhita is considered the standard text of Kayachikitsa (internal medicine), Sushruta Samhita is the classic of Shalya-Shalakya (surgery and E.N. The exquisite compendium of etiopathogenesis and indications symptoms of all diseases recorded in classics is Laghu-Trayi Madhava Nidana. The second is the Sharangdhar Samhita, which is an excellen...

The respiratory system, circulatory system, digestive system, reproductive system, and all other biological functions of the systems have remained unchanged throughout human history on the globe. Understanding the everlasting essential components of the human body and life, its systemic and systematic functions in Ayurveda, is eternal, still relevant, as long as it fulfills the aim. When the systemic functions are in perfect working order, it is called health; when there ...
